The BASIS Curriculum Schools network defines opportunity for students in global terms. Our bright, passionate, subject-expert teachers teach the acclaimed and high-achieving BASIS Curriculum to preschool through high school students at the highest international levels.
The growing, high-achieving, and consistently-acclaimed BASIS Curriculum Schools network – uniquely encompassed by three different types of institutions – consists of over fifty schools in 2023-24 academic year:
- BASIS Curriculum Schools includes fourty-three open-enrollment public charter schools in Arizona, Louisiana, Texas, and Washington, D.C. owned by the nonprofit BASIS Charter Schools Inc. and managed by BASIS.ed.
- BASIS Curriculum Schools consists of six BASIS Independent Schools, four of them are divided into Lower and Upper School, totaling ten campuses. Comprising the BASIS Independent schools, there are a total of four campuses in New York City, one in Northern Virginia, four in Silicon Valley, California and one in Bellevue, Washington State. Our second school in Washington, BASIS Independent Bothell, will open in fall of 2025.
- BASIS Curriculum Schools includes a growing network of international and bilingual schools which are privately owned and operated: eight in China and one in Bangkok,Thailand. It also includes an early learning school in the Czech Republic called BASIS Beginners Prague and its continuation, BASIS International School Prague. More international and bilingual schools are coming in fall of 2024 in Shenzhen, China — including our first campus focused exclusively on early childhood education.
Our institutions are listed among the nation's best by any measure – national rankings, Advanced Placement and PISA/OECD testing, the National Merit Scholarship Program, or college admissions and merit aid, among many others – because we treat the classroom as sacrosanct, and teach students to love learning.
